How we made it · Open-world adventure
Hollowreach
Meadows, mountains, rivers and a village across kilometres of land, and Rowan, a young hero with a sword. It's one of the sample games in Arcwright Beta 1: open it in the free app and take it apart.
- 3D open world with grass that grows around you wherever you go
- Rowan, made from Nano Banana sheets and forged in the engine
- Sample game in Beta 1: Mac, Windows, Linux and Steam Deck

01
The land first
Terrain kilometres across: meadows full of flowers, rivers, and snow on the mountains. The grass grows around the camera wherever you go, so the world never runs out of it.

02
Rowan, from our own render
We rendered our first Rowan and asked Nano Banana to keep this exact boy and fix what was wrong. The corrected turnaround became the new reference, and the Forge refit him to it.

03
Same night, side by side
Two live renders a few hours apart. Drag to compare.

04
A face at full detail
A face sheet just for the head, placed by the eyes, so the face holds up close.

05
Golden hour
The sun, the clouds and the light are live. The same meadow, late in the day.

06
On a Steam Deck
The full Arcwright editor running on a Steam Deck under Linux, playing Hollowreach.
